Laura worked on her quilt top
Filling the bobbin
I wondered if any pockets on my jeans "made the cut"
They did
Pressing open seams
I took off a "double" run of towels, to cut and hem today
And since I really have little I feel like writing about, here on the back door my piece of stained glass. My neighbor likes seeing it.
And a selfie. The fall leaf came in a thank you note.
Sometimes pictures are the very best. And these are especially nice.
ReplyDeleteI think it looked like it was a productive weekend!

I wish I could have stayed in. I enjoyed getting out of the house but grocery shopping is not my idea of a fun time.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished quilt. I think I'd like to see the stained glass as well. It's quite lovely.
ReplyDeletewell, you know a picture is worth a thousand words so you didn't need to say much. and are the prayer flags printed on cloth and where did you get them?
ReplyDeleteMy friend Deb, the porcelain artist (of course) gave those to me last December, when I was quite despondent, pretty much for the entire universe. Yes, they are fabric, and small. I saw them in her yard, several rows, ranging from thin and frayed to brand new, and she explained them to me, and I was fascinated. I don't have a fine place to hang them out, here at the old house, but know they will be perfect at the new house.
DeleteI love stained glass. The quilt is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteHari om
ReplyDeleteAs has been stated, the pics suffice! YAM xx
There are many thousands of words in this most excellent post.
ReplyDelete‘Your home is where your stories are made and told’. The pictures tell a lovely tale of a productive weekend, what better?

A wonderful weekend by the looks of it, Joanne.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good cozy winter day inside. Sewing, weaving, and some hot chocolate?
ReplyDeleteThe quilt and the towels both look great. Creating gives a sense of accomplishment. And selfies always make me laugh! Especially my own!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is coming along nicely and the stained glass is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love my drying cloths.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I haven't forgotten the pebble. I had a dream last night that I was falling off a cliff and on the way down I passed the perfect pebble. I was sad I did not have time to grab it. This is true.
DeleteThat's some nice stained glass
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy photos. And maybe I ought to remember that when I'm clicking through mine, looking for something to post, and going nope ... nope ... nope ... We can be too hard on ourselves, I think.
ReplyDeleteLaura's quilt is coming right along.
Love that quilt! (And also that stained glass..........) Laura will have a treasure, there.
ReplyDeleteNice window, selfie, and fall leaf. Laura will really enjoy that quilt for the rest of her life.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice, quiet, cozy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI bet you enjoy having Laura there, working away so peacefully.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
It was hard to resist the warmth this weekend, but Inside projects with the sun coming in the window is lovely also.
ReplyDeleteA pocket in a quilt could be useful, a little hidey-hole for a midnight candy bar.
ReplyDeleteI like your stained glass piece.
Wouldn't that be fun. But it's sewn shut. :-(
DeleteI flat out love my hand towels. SO very soft.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt … it really is an astonishing amount of work but well worth it. So cool!
