It's snowing in the township.
And on our drive and car.
The nerve!
We have the happiest sparrows for acres around.
In the morning the pear tree is full of sparrows,
waiting a turn.
The chickadee and the junco have not found their way back.
They will arrive soon I think.
ReplyDeleteChickadees are one of those things (along with the first couple of snow falls) I miss about living in the north. I have the sweetest chickadee Xmas tree ornament on the tree right now. And look at that Laura girl out shoveling your driveway!
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteOh the word will spread.. it's called "twitter"... 8~].. YAM xx
:-)
DeleteI thought it was partridge in a pear tree.
ReplyDeleteWe has snow today too.
clearing snow..a good way to warm up if not done for too long!
ReplyDeleteWe're having unseasonably warm weather here...it is convenient to be able to get things done, but it doesn't feel right!
Brrr. I've just been out and there is a frost settling. No sign of snow yet this winter.
ReplyDeleteThat's something I don't have to deal with: snow.
ReplyDeleteAt least the snow makes things lighter, at least that's what I find. But it's much harder to get around. All those extra clothes and boots and watching one's steps - it's tiring! I'm glad you have your intrepid snow shoveller :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty porch!! We hardly have any snow here; not complaining mind you.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen "real" snow.
ReplyDeleteGot a great helper with Laura clearing out the driveway and car! Stay safe!
ReplyDeletebetty
Looks like you have a good helper with that snow!!
ReplyDeleteToo warm for a coat here today. Just very windy. Not complaining.
ReplyDeleteGood that you have a snow shoveler!
Ooooh.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a hot day today. And tomorrow will be worse.
Consider me chirping with your happy sparrows at these cooling images.
We got frost here but no snow yet
ReplyDeleteWell brrrrr! I don't mind a bit of frost, but that looks down right freezing.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely...but I don't miss it!
ReplyDeleteThe weatherpeople are telling us that we may wake up to some snow tomorrow morning. That will be a good reason to sleep in.
ReplyDeleteI have some extra snow if you want a bit more. I've been a very bad bird feeder. I really do need to get some bird seed out there for them. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has been sending me photos of all the snow in Illinois. And they're planning to drive to Colorado next week for skiing. Arrrghhh!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a pear tree full of sparrows :) Sad the chickadee and junco can't find you though, maybe they'll turn up later.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is very pretty, but I'm glad I'm seeing it online and not through my window. That's too cold for me.
It looks so beautiful. Keep warm x
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind snow for Christmas day but I don't think we'll get any.
ReplyDeletehi!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am here, dreaming of a white Christmas...
I like to look at the snow but it is certainly an inconvenience when I have to drive somewhere. No fun at all.
ReplyDeletelooks like it has arrived anyway. we're back up in the 70s after a cold week.
ReplyDeleteSnow always looks so pretty in someone else's back yard.
ReplyDeleteWhat?? You have melted marshmallow again?? Weather report said Chicago had 6-9" yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSo it begins.
