Laura's friend's mother was a cosmetologist in another state for years.
Then she moved to Ohio with her husband and little girl.
Now she's back to school, learning the new techniques, and studying for an Ohio License.
She's up to highlights and streaks, or some such, and needed a volunteer.
Guess who raised her hand, immediately.
Keep your eye on this space.
The class is tomorrow night.
We'll see Laura when she gets off the school bus on Wednesday.

How fun! And the good thing about it is eventually hair does grow out (just in case it doesn't go as one would hope)

Sometimes it is good to take chances. I hope she enjoys this experience and everything turns out to her liking (and yours).
ReplyDeleteI think it's neat that her grandma allows it! What fun. I do hope she likes it. Wonder if her change will be as drastic as Emily's when she got that haircut?
ReplyDeleteExciting times ahead. And no, the pun was accidental.
ReplyDeleteFun for Laura!!
ReplyDeleteI thought I would stop in again. But this time though Mr, Rat. My daughter law Betty was an hair dresser for a while. But now she is a fight attendant. When she was doing her training my son was her practice and this was all before she got married.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
How exciting for her! I hope she likes the new look.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the result !
ReplyDeleteShe is so good-looking that it would be hard to make her anything but that.
ReplyDeleteA whole new look, what fun.
ReplyDeleteMerle............
Oh how fun! My philosophy regarding hair is: It grows out. When my daughter wanted to try having purple hair and her grandpa was going nuts I looked at him with a grin, and repeated what he said when my mother tried to give me a 'shag' haircut: "It grows fast."
ReplyDeleteI don't think I ever got a dirtier look in my life, LOL.
Can't wait to see the 'new do'.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Hair adventures. Can't wait to see what gets done and how it looks.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what a cosmetologist is - will wait and see from your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful anemones header.
Sounds like fun to me, but I have not had natural hair since I could walk.
ReplyDeletedon't all teenagers get their hair streaked? I did. it will look great.
