A little snow here but mostly ice and definitely not driving weather. Snow can be better handled especially by someone with a mindset like yours. Fear does not seem part of your vocabulary.
We still have the same deal; ten dollars for the two drives and cars. So, I opened my wallet recently to give her her fifty dollars a month February allowance. I only had 43. "That's OK, gramma. I have all that money from shoveling snow." We'll hit the bank in the box when we get groceries this weekend.
Laura is a credit to you Joanne, bending, shovelling and lifting the snow looks like back breaking work. Is the snow heavy as well? It looks light and fluffy, but I imagine it weighs as much as ice when it sets hard like that.
I think everyone else has said it before me. How lucky you are - to have fabulously kind and thoughtful grandchildren (yes!!) - to have all that snow (no, boo hiss) Cathy (Commenting via Blogger) Cathy @ Still Waters
Wow! Joanne, that's a lot of snow. I really would suggest you not drive in that... but I guess you're used to it?
ReplyDeleteIt's OK. Less than we often have, and I know road crews were out all night clearing roads. And, I'll go the freeway this time, not through the valley.

ReplyDeleteI hope you will come back home safe.

ReplyDeleteI think there's more to come here too - Safe there, safe back and thank goodness for shovellers! YAM xx
well, of course you got 5" of snow last night.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have a teenager around to do the shoveling!
ReplyDeleteNever-ending shoveling in that weather.
ReplyDeleteIsn’t it always the way!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels..my trip to the chiro this morning was the drive from Hell.
ReplyDeleteWith each of your posts I am more impressed by Laura. She is such a hard worker. And she does it cheerfully. How lucky are you?
ReplyDeleteWe call it unremitting cheerfulness. All four of them. They get it from their dad. I only know something's wrong if she quits talking.
DeleteWow! It's so beautiful, despite all the problems it causes.

ReplyDeleteSeems most of the snow here is being concentrated in this one week. Good to have good help.
ReplyDeleteHope your EEG went well. Aloha from sunny Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteHope your EEG goes well. Lucky to have Laura home to shovel, but then again, if there was no snow, there would be no need of a shoveller!
ReplyDeleteThat's some snow x
ReplyDeleteHalf an inch is enough to bring Britain to a standstill. I envy you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowfall. So happy Laura is there to shovel for you. She's a good kid.

DeleteWhat a sweetie!
DeleteLove that!
ReplyDeleteOh man! She is a heroine! I hope the EEG gave the result you wanted.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting.

ReplyDeleteNo, it was wet and heavy. Snowman worthy, but no incentive left.
DeleteWonderful worker you have there. Service with a smile :-)
ReplyDeleteHope it goes well. What would you do without her!.
ReplyDeleteShe is a super girl.

I think I am in need of a teenager. Glad you have such good company and hope the results come in the way you want them.
ReplyDeleteIt was a snow day here: buses cancelled for the 8th time but schools open as per usual.
ReplyDelete(I just had to re-sign into Google for the first time in a long while.)
My sister lives in Columbus and sent me an email about cursed snow. Looks about right.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we haven't had any of that kind of snow. Yet!
