I wonder how this happens
A better view
A fine stand of brown eyed Susan's coming on behind the bee balm
Next year our ravine will bloom
orange, purple and yellow;
lots of day lilies, iris and now brown eyed Susan's.
It may look like a flower jungle.
It looks like it going to be a beautiful jungle!
ReplyDeleteIts very pretty!

I LOVE flower jungles. And your blooms. What a magical ravine transformation.
ReplyDeleteSo many times it's those lesser known flowers that are so beautiful. I really love the color in these!
ReplyDeleteA lot of work to create that jungle!
ReplyDeleteDear Joanne,
ReplyDeletethen you must read Tove Jansson's "Moomin Valley Becomes A Jungle".
Bee balm can always manage to surprise you with what they get up to! A flower jungle.... I rather like that idea.

I do love bee balm. It just makes me happy. Your ravine is going to be splendid next year.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea brown eyed susans came in more colours than yellow.
ReplyDeleteI have had two clumps of bee balm given to me and both have perished…..third time a charm?
ReplyDeleteThat's my favorite kind of jungle.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a tiny, wee, baby salamander on our top balm. Or maybe it's just a dead bloom. But seriously, wouldn't it be cool if it was a salamander? I love bee balm, by the way. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's morphing into our UK wildflower: Ragged Robin!
