We only got an inch last night, it's melted now and only the big piles of shoveled snow in my yard. It's silly to think about spring yet, at least here. We'll be seeing snow into May, and perhaps later.
In Iowa, April 5 1973, we had a freak blizzard that locked down Ames, IA. Deep fluffy snow, that was gone by April 8. But, oh. The excitement of no work and no where to go. Lots of new born babies 9 months later.
It has been a very snowy winter. I'm so glad I don't live up there. Even down here, we have had four months in a row of cooler than normal temperatures.
Same kind of storm here yesterday. Melting in gobs and sloshes today. Seems Nature feels it necessary to get rid of any unused snow before official giving us Spring.
I hate these long goodbyes...

You are ALWAYS busy. Love the snow shots you have been giving us - which I can say from this side of the world. Spring is coming. Really it is.
ReplyDeleteYou should do a go away snow dance but don't do it naked too cold.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
Beautiful here today. in the 70's. Got so much done today, but the more I do, the more I see that needs doing! Definitely a Spring "feeling"!

ReplyDeleteWe got about 8 inches of snow here in Montreal and the snow plows were out trying to clean it up!
ReplyDeleteFunny how other people's snow looks picturesque and mine is just annoying!
ReplyDeleteThose are the kinds of snow I like; gone by the end of the day.

ReplyDeleteSnow has become the worst four letter word of the year. I hope this is your last sighting of the white stuff till next Christmas.
