Emily wanted more blue in her hair, for senior pictures.
As we drove to the beauty salon she told me she was through with "high school" haircuts.
I did not reallize this was out of focus, but no mind.
Except to say Anna, the stylist, did walk over once to ask me if it was OK with me.
Then the number one clippers removed all the hair not twisted up on top.
And, Anna applied the blue.
And began styling the remainder.

I agree, it's no high school hair cut.
Only people of your age have blue hair here, Joanne. Anyway, is it blue, is it blue-green, or is it green?
ReplyDeleteTurquoise.
DeleteThat's both, then.
DeleteThat cut looks great on her. My son is 53 and I wish I'd allowed him to wear his hair the way he wanted to (40 years ago)... But, truth is, even the schools had restrictions about hair back then. You are one special Grandmother!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the color, not sure about the cut.
ReplyDeleteI wish I were bold enough to try a different color like that. I suppose it is only for the young though.
ReplyDeletevery chic. it really suits her.
ReplyDeleteErm...how often do the roots need doing?

It just washes out in about a month.
DeleteWashes out? Who knew?!

ReplyDeleteIt totally suits her! .... though am thinking that falling into winter was perhaps not the wisest time to loose one's fur.... YAM xx
Her discovery, too. She wears her wooly cap to work.
DeleteNow that is dramatic. And changes her look completely. I suspect it would send me crazy though - it looks as if it will fall in her face and over her eyes at the drop of a hat.
ReplyDeleteNo not high school cut but it suites Emily I think so very fine!!!
ReplyDeletebetty
Not sure I like it, but then I'm not her target audience.
ReplyDeleteAh to be young and have crazy hair, I do remember.
ReplyDeleteMerle................
Love the color! Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteI think Emily has the soul of an artist or a rebel - or both. Looks good on her.
ReplyDeleteditto what jenny o said, I am not that brave, but it does look good on her
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to be able to do that. I am happy for her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty girl (but don't tell her.) (it might to go her head and spoil that gorgeous hair)
ReplyDeleteThat certainly isn't a high school haircut!
ReplyDeleteThe blue looks more teal, nice colour.
Lately, I have seen that style with various colors on young women. I appreciate people who who take chances and want to show their personality. I think Emily looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute haircut (and young woman).
ReplyDeleteShe wears it with style and grace. Probably the way she approaches life, too.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Nope...not a high school haircut.
ReplyDeletewow. looks good on her. nice to see individuals emerging.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely a breaking free of school cut! Looks good!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind blue hair but I'm afraid I do not like this style of hair on any woman young or old. Having said that, it seems to be quite a popular haircut and I'm sure Emily will enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteOnly her Grandmother would allow. Love color and glad hair will grow out when OHio winter winds begin to howl...
ReplyDeleteOh my! You are a progressive granny for sure! Harley wouldn't be nervy enough for the cut. But she might like to try the blue!!
