When this little pot full came to live here in April, I remembered only it was a daisy, so I called it the step daisy. Its lovely orange flowers eventually had to be dead-headed, but the leaves were quite lovely and I left it on the step.
Then it did this. I mentioned the step daisy intended to have more flowers and the universe shouted back Gerbera Daisy!
I think I have it now.
Love the bright colours. Looks as if the 'A' team have given it lots of TLC

I like step daisies better than Gerbera. More character. I've only seen them in floral arangemen arrangements.

After I retired I worked a few hours each week in a flower shop. When the delivery truck came, we'd "process" the gerber daisies and put them in some wire contraption so they wouldn't get bruised or battered by any other flower before they were added to some expensive arrangement. One of the biggest things I remember about working there was that there was really no "smell" of flowers. Most of the flowers were from Chile or someplace else... grown for longevity.... not aroma.... and although quite beautiful, were also almost artificial.

I like step daisy :) For one thing I can never remember if the G in Gerbera is hard or soft. Pfft.
