We have just booked a trip in France just to make us start cycling again. But pathetic how we have to schedule something just to get out there...About Last Weekendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04716571630418078937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1920860526738969165.post-71839646768240064152011-12-06T19:30:43.502-05:002011-12-06T19:30:43.502-05:00My first bike was my Mom's old green ??? with ...My first bike was my Mom's old green ??? with fat white-wall tires that kept you upright all by themselves. I could never sit on the seat. I had to straddle the space in front of the seat. I got my own bike before I could ever use the seat. What great memories!!! I don't know why I thought the blue Schwinn was Janice's; now I can take that beautiful picture to the body shop for its overhaul! I am glad I rescued (part of) my inheritance from the ongoing garage sale!

I obsessively make sure my children (8&10) wear helmets. We went flying down that hill on Gardendale on our banana seat bikes, helmetless, hit the ramp at the bottom and soared out closer and closer to the (off-limits) pit. Sledding was also excellent on that hill. Shoot, now I have to tell my kids that we played with sticks and rocks AND a hill! Boy, those were the days!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1920860526738969165.post-80550270246754828042011-11-30T13:25:51.527-05:002011-11-30T13:25:51.527-05:00Oh those first bike rides.
