Pumpkin Protection Program

You remember this little fellow from only two weeks ago.

Leaps and bounds.
Great strides.
I don't know if Beggars' Night will be
October 26th, a Saturday, or
October 31st, but it will happen.

The little pumpkin that could may become orange, yet.

In the meantime, I am assured the other two are safe.

Pumpkin Protection Program

For ten years I've watched the road super
Lay in his Beggars' Night goods.
And thought little of it, except he does it,
Sitting on the end of the township drive,
Treating all the spooks and goblins who come by.

Think I'll go by this year and check on the pumpkins.

  6. If it is still green at the end of the month, there is always spray paint. I am sure you won't need it though, as it looks like it is coming along nicely.

  7. I once won a pumpkin carving contest at church. Got a nice gift card to a restaurant.

  8. Will the road super crave the other two pumpkins? Those cracker jacks by the case - 3 cases would be more than enough to handle our crowd.

I do accept cracker jack tips BTW.

  18. There's more than one way to get an orange pumpkin ... actually, if you're going to paint it, try pink and purple polka dots - that's what they did at my dad's nursing home :) It actually looks very good!
