  2. Thank GOD, our dog is smart. He knows that Bing does not believe that pets should eat "human" food, so he is polite and never begs when she is around. But the second she is out of the room, either Liv or I are feeding him parts of our sandwiches, crackers, whatever.

  4. My daughter had that very conversation many times with her cat. Seems they had a whole different routine early in the morning before anyone else was awake!

  5. Years back we had a cat who, when we left the table to collect something, climbed onto the skinny portions plate, sat down and started nibbling at the piece of meat beneath its butt. Which of course the skinny portion could no longer eat. Guess who got the meat. Cats can be, and are very, very determined.
