Logistics

You going to be home?
I have some errands.  What’s up?
We’re going to Lowe’s.
Take Laura with you; she’ll have more fun.
Why?  Where are you going.
To the bank and the hardware store.
OK.
Wait.  What about getting Emily?
She’ll call when they’re done.

The group separates. Turns back.

Oh, wait.  We need the truck.  You take Laura; there’d be four in the cab with Emily.
OK.  She had lunch?
She ate with Tom.  We’ll lock up.  See you later.

What a change in two months.

When Laura was two.

  1. Don't know how you do it!! We had our only daughter when I was 36--young and strong. But still it took the help of my sister along with us,her parents, to keep up with all the comings and goings of her busy life and ours. Well Done!!

  2. Yes, the Dance of the Busy, I remember that well. Somehow it's never quite so tiring when you see the need and have the love and know what the end goal is. Still a big job, though, and bless you for doing it.

  3. When I complain about all of the machinations required to keep a family going, my daughter laughs and says, "I'll sleep when I'm dead!" Somehow it's looking more and more attractive!!! :)

  4. Add a guest who doesn't speak English. Suddenly life is very, very weird and Bing and I are being so polite to each other that it is laughable.
