Swallowtail and lilies

This fellow was busy with a cone flower recently.

And these lilies at the post office are ignoring the drought

  1. I love coneflowers probably as much as the butterfly, but haven't started eating them yet!!

  3. My lilies are doing surprising well, too, but my poor hanging basket is getting watered twice a day. SO hot and windy here in Mpls!!

  4. Nothing better than a coneflower unless it is a coneflower with a swallowtail. Thank you for catching that moment and sharing it with us.

  5. The only reason that my flowers are halfway pretty this summer is because I water them. I swear that when they see me coming with the hose, their little tongues are hanging out...

  6. Thank goodness for those hardy flowers. Can you imagine how dreary the dry lawns would be without them?
